Careers at Angel Cares Health
We are building the system we all wished existed when medicine broke us.
For the clinician, nurse, MA, therapist, or admin who’s tired—really tired—of caring without care in return:
Angel Cares Health exists because we’ve been there too. Burnout, moral injury, under-appreciation, and emotional exhaustion are not personal failures—they are symptoms of a broken system. We are rebuilding it from the inside out.
Our Founder’s Perspective
I started my medical life mopping blood off the OR floor as an orderly while in graduate school for anatomy and neurobiology. I worked full-time nights in the hospital, did research at the CDC in Fort Collins, and chased an unsustainable dream. I made it through medical school, but when residency collapsed—so did my career, and eventually my health.I lost everything, including my sense of purpose. Recovery, humility, and time in addiction therapy brought me back.
I’ve lived medicine from every rung: janitorial staff, medical assistant, front desk scheduler, call-center representative, triage MA, complex-disease coordinator, and provider in training. I’ve seen how our “healthcare system” crushes both patients and the people who try to help them. Angel Cares Health is the model I needed when I was struggling—the one that could have kept me, and countless others, whole.
Our Promise to Clinicians and Staff
Reasonable panel sizes matched to patient complexity—never one-size-fits-all quotas.
Protected time each week for documentation, team huddles, education, and debrief—built into the schedule, not added on.
No clinical output hamster wheel. Compensation aligns with quality, coordination, equity, and collaboration—not raw volume.
Zero tolerance for abuse. No clinician or staff member should endure verbal, physical, or emotional abuse from patients, peers, or leadership. Safety is non-negotiable.
Transparent pay structures and pathways for advancement that recognize complexity and contribution.
Psychological safety through inclusive governance: frontline representation, anonymous feedback channels, and published responses to staff concerns.
Trauma-informed workplace culture. Training includes vicarious trauma, boundaries, and resilience—because compassion without containment leads to collapse.
Leadership accountability. Decisions that affect care delivery and wellbeing are made with clinician input, not imposed from above.
Recovery-friendly policies. We support colleagues in healing from addiction, chronic illness, or disability without stigma.
You are not the problem. Burnout is a rational response to an irrational system. At Angel Cares, we are designing structure, staffing, and technology to make your compassion sustainable—so caring feels possible again.
How We Work
Team-based integrated care: medical, behavioral, and wellness providers collaborate daily, not via fax.
Digital tools that help—AI-supported documentation, smart scheduling, and shared care plans—to reduce cognitive overload.
Regular debriefs and reflective practice sessions on paid time, because processing trauma is part of patient safety.
Data transparency: outcomes, workload, and wellbeing metrics are shared openly across the team.
